OFTRI awarded for contribution to ornamental fisheries development in the country

The Ornamental Fisheries Training and Research Institute was awarded for its contribution to ornamental fisheries development in the country by Pillay Aquaculture Foundation (International). The award was given by Sh. Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Hon’ble Minister of state for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India to Dr. Atul Kumar Jain, Chairman, OFTRI during 4th PAF Congress on “Increasing aquaculture production in India through synergistic approach between multinational industries, domestic entrepreneurs and aquaculturists. The congress was organised by PAF in association with Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (Indian Council of Agriculture Research), Kausalyaganga, Bhubneswar, Odisha on  15th November, 2019. The congress was attended by large number of researchers, academicians and farmers from different parts of the country. The theme of the congress was to explore the possibilities of multinational investment in aquaculture in the country.
